This is fantastic. I spent too much of my life focused on being a respectable Christian because that's what my parents drilled into us. It made it almost impossible for me to see the people who were really doing the Lord's work in so many different places.
Thanks for pushing back on the hierarchy of human value. The hierarchy , or idea that some people are better than others, is the basis of racism, sexism and religious discrimination, as well as mass incarceration, homelessness and war. Improvements can be made around the edges of these issues but none can be solved until we build a non-hierarchical society. It is impossible to build a non-hierarchical society and defend your place in the hierarchy at the same time.
